Chartreuse Noix

The production of walnut liqueurs has a long-standing tradition in the Dauphiné, the region where the mother abbey of the Carthusian order is located. The monks of the of the Grand Chartreuse, makers of the infamous Chartreuse herbal liqueurs, took up this tradition and created this delicious walnut liqueur according to a traditional recipe. For the production of this liqueur, green walnuts are collected in St. Jean and macerated in alcohol. After the addition of sugar, a secret macerate of various other plants is added, in order to create the unique taste. Simply divine. The liqueur has been aged in oak barrels for several years before the bottling and a careful quality control takes place.
